S pira was once a prosperous world where people lived in perfect harmony. Civilisation thrived thanks to the advances in machina technology and the world expanded and grew comfortable. Unfortunately, one thousand years ago, an immortal menace known as Sin was created and brought to the world of Spira destruction, devestation and ruin. Only summoners, spiritual and magical beings, could repel his attacks, only for him to rejuvinate shortly after. None could end the cycle of mayhem and none could live with it. Eventually a brave young summoner from the dreamy island of Besaid stepped forward and followed her destiny. Summoners came forward and battled Sin but this immortal menace could not be defeated so easily. When it was defeated it would rejuvinate within a few years and then brought more havoc and destruction to Spira. However a summoner, Yuna, from Besaid and her guardians, Wakka, Lulu, Kimahri, Auron, Rikku and Tidus, battled and defeated Sin once and for all. Yuna had brught the Eternal Calm. When exploring Spira Yuna finds images of Tidus, who they fought dead. Yuna soon embarks on a quest with the energetic Rikku and the sullen Paine to find out whether Tidus is still alive and find him.

FINAL FANTASY X-2 GAMEPLAY: 5 / 5 Despite the occasional lapse in storyline, Final Fantasy X-2 provides some of the funnest Final Fantasy gameplay yet, always tempting the player to replay after completion. STORYLINE: 1 / 5 Disappointing at the best of times, the storyline seems to be a randomly formulated, uncontinuous plot which lets down an otherwise amazing gaming experience. GRAPHICS: 4 / 5 An outstanding display of exactly what Square Enix are capable of - high class, realistic graphics which enhance and enrich even the worst gaming experiences. MUSIC: 2 / 5 The lack of game composition's greats shows through in this below par, feeble attempt at matching Uematsu's greatness. Entertaining, but not enlightening. OVERALL: 4 / 5 Despite it's patchy storyline and meagre soundtrack, Final Fantasy X-2 is an excellent game to have a relaxed, chilled out gaming session to. Not too heavy yet not light enough to be ludicrous, this game provides entertaining gameplay presented through a variety of amazing graphics.
